Aging is something that happens...every day of our lives.
It is completely impossible to stop the clock, or the process, but we can do many things to reduce the effects of aging and maintain health, vitality, and fitness.
However, while medicine continues to advance, adding years to our lives, the quality of those years depends to a large extent on the choices we make...and have made.
That aging which began the day we were born is something which can be worked on and adjusted long before we get "old".
If you are a senior who has neglected his or her health and fitness over the years, it is not too late. If you are not yet a senior, you can make choices now, choices about diet, exercise, and lifestyle, which will have a major impact on who you are when you do reach your older years.
In addition to checking regularly with your healthcare provider(s) and getting all the tests done, exercise regularly, take a good daily multivitamin, get plenty of good sleep, make friends, love, laugh, and enjoy life to the fullest.
By all means, take care of those you love, but, like the airplane oxygen mask scenario, take care of yourself first, and then you will be better able to take care of those you love...by example as well as by action.
